Q: What are the electrical requirements of the DreamMaker Spas?
A: All DreamMaker Spas come factory equipped to plug directly into any 110v 15 amp receptacle. Basically, you can plug them into any outlet that you could plug a lamp into. The spas draw about 11 amps during operation, and are very inexpensive to operate.

Q: Do I need a GFCI receptacle?
A: No. A Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) Outlet is not required, as a GFCI unit is built into the plug for safety.

Q: How much does it cost to run my DreamMaker Spa?
A: The cost will vary, of course, due to weather conditions and cost of electricity in your area. Through feedback from our local customers, we've seen an average operating cost of around $10-$15 a month.

Q: How often do I have to change the water?
A: We recommend changing the water every 3-4 months.

Q: What kind of chemicals does my spa require?
A: Primary maintenance will be through the use of chemicals. All spas, like pools, require some sort of shock, sanitizer and chemical/mineral adjusters to maintain proper water balance and clarity. We recommend the convenient Leisure Time Complete Spa Care Kit which has been assembled just for DreamMaker Spa owners. The kit includes all the chemicals you need to keep your spa clean and safe in one simple package.

Q: What kind of filter does my DreamMaker Spa take?
A: DreamMaker Spas use a 25 sq/ft cartridge filter to keep your water clean. Filters should be cleaned a few times a month and should be replaced every year.

Q: How long will my spa take to heat up?
A: Once you fill your DreamMaker Spa with water and set the temperature, you should cover it with the insulated hard cover and allow it to run overnight. The spa will maintain the temperature you set automatically, turning the jets on to heat the water as necessary. You will want to keep the insulated cover on the spa at all times when you're not using the spa to keep the heat in! You will certainly find a cover lifter to be a big help with moving the cover on and off the spa.

Q: How do I get in and out of my spa?
A: We have a variety of of entry systems available. We have simple steps, steps with storage compartments, and complete surround decking systems that add privacy, seating and accessibility.
